The Department’s goal of offering a comprehensive knowledge of the fields of history and archaeology is effective, following universally accepted standards for the specific areas of study it offers.

Its e-courses, in particular, and its extensive and successful internship program are effective tools in engaging the students, training them in information literacy, and fulfilling the academic goals of its curriculum and student job placement needs. In a national tertiary education system, the Department’s curriculum is coherent and functional.

In an international frame, Greek history and archaeology are not part of a unified narrative and are taught separately.
